Privacy
The short version: your files are yours. We count visits to see which tools people use, and that's it.
Your files
Tools marked “in your browser” never upload your file: everything happens on your device.
A few conversions (Office documents, eBooks, PDF/A and print-ready PDFs) need our server. The file is sent over an encrypted connection, converted, sent back, and deleted as soon as it's done. We don't look at it or keep a copy.
Accounts
An account is optional. If you make one, we keep your email address, a scrambled (hashed) password, your saved workflows, and how many server conversions you've used today. If history is switched on in your account settings, we also keep the tool name and file names of recent jobs, never the files themselves. You can switch history off or delete your account at any time from the account page.
We use your email only for sign-in codes, password resets and messages about your account.
Counting visits
We use two services to understand how the site is used: which pages people visit, which tools they run, and how many people sign up.
- Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
- Google Analytics records page views and events such as “a tool finished” or “an account was created”. It never receives your files, file names or email address. It only uses cookies if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner; otherwise it sends cookieless, anonymous counts. Ads features are switched off.
You can change your choice at any time with , also at the bottom of every page.
