Why iPhone photos are HEIC
iPhones save photos as HEIC to use half the space of JPG. Many websites and Windows PCs can't open HEIC, and forms that ask for a PDF won't take it. Converting to a PDF fixes both.
Depending on your settings, your iPhone may hand the page a JPG copy instead of the HEIC original. Either way, you get the same PDF.
On a Windows PC instead?
AirDrop or copy the HEIC files to your computer and drop them on this page. Conversion happens in the browser, so you don't need the HEIC extension from the Microsoft Store.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install an app?
No. It works in Safari, and in Chrome on iPhone and iPad.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. They're converted on your phone, inside the browser.
Can I put several photos in one PDF?
Yes. Select as many as you like; each becomes a page, in the order you set.
Where does the PDF go?
Safari asks whether to download it. It's saved in Files, in the Downloads folder, and you can share it from there.
